Visit This site about technology in the classroom and share your opinions.
Effects of Technology on Classrooms and Students
This website points out something very important about integrating technology into classrooms. Both the roles of students and teachers change in that classroom. The students become more active learners because they can choose how and when they learn. The teachers are no longer the only means for information. They become the one's who give guidance and set goals for the students to reach in their learning. Teachers can change the roles by assigning project based work to the students.

This site also tells how using technology in classrooms increase the student's motivation and self-esteem. The teachers that were quoted talk about how students are more motivated because they receive feedback quicker from computers. Some students would even do their computer work during lunch or recess. Students gain more confidence because they are mastering skills on the computer that can be used in the real world. Another good thing about including technology in class room is the increased amount of collaboration between students. Students begin to help each other with working the computer and by offering suggestions on projects.Technology also make students aware of their audience's opinion on their work. For exampling by bogging students can get direct feedback from others on their thoughts and projects.

  2. Tierra,
I agree with Caitlyn, your blog does look great! Your link was definitely helpful. I believe that could be the future of education. Technology is something that is developing very quickly and as teachers we must make sure to stay updated because like you said, we are their guidance!

  3. Interesting that the site you chose was text based. A number of students have suggested materials that deal with motivation. I will certainly address that issue.

    Thanks.
